Our Fire Department is a very well equipped Fire Department. We are very fortunate to have the support of the Town and Rural Municipality of Birtle. Below is a Compressed List Of Some of our Equipment available to us.

We moved into our firehall on February 27, 1995, we had our first call out on February 28, 1995.   We had our Grand Opening on June 10, 1995.

We have 4 fire trucks. Each one serves a specific role.

Pumper # 1 which is our oldest of the four.

Pumper #2 which serves as our primary water and foam pumper

Rescue Unit # 3 which serves many purposes including our breathing apparatus, Jaws of Life, First Aid, Water Rescue, and our Incident Command Centre.

Our Quick Response, Unit # 4 built by our department is a revamped 4 x 4 which we added a small water supply tank, our water backpacks and our Forestry Hose. The Primary Responsibility of this unit is to respond quickly to a  scene in which the initial assessments can be made prior to the arrival of the other units. Also works great for getting to those hard to reach areas especially in forest and land fires.
